Julie Hirigoyen, lead director of Upstream Sustainability Services at Jones Lang LaSalle, discusses the launch of the Greenprint Foundation’s new Carbon Index and considers how sustainability is a key issue across Europe due to the impact on the capital values of investors’ real estate.

Greenprint Carbon Index
Jones Lang LaSalle played a key role in the launch of the first guide which establishes an industry-wide standard that measures, benchmarks and tracks operational energy usage and carbon emission trends.

The Index spans 36 countries and represents 176 million sq ft of office, industrial, retail, multi-family and hotel properties containing 35,000 tenants. Julie also discusses sustainability issues more widely across EMEA, helping position Jones Lang LaSalle as a leader in sustainability in the built environment.
